ISTA LAUNCHES NEW GLOBAL DIVISION E:SO, AIMING TO FILL ENERGY MARKET'S UNMET NEED FOR SUPERIOR ENERGY COST MANAGEMENT

E:SO, a new division of ista, was officially launched on January 1, 2009 through the alignment of four distinct, complementary service and technology leaders from ista’s global portfolio:

• ista International's UK-based Utility Energy Solutions Limited (UESL)
  specialises in multi-site commercial and industrial customers. UESL offers modules that provide complete financial control together with the means to reduce consumption and cost.
• ista North America's Utility Solutions Group (USG)
  contributes its retail market expertise in front-to-back office billing, CIS and energy cost management for deregulated energy retailers and regulated utilities.
• Houston-based EC Power International, Inc., acquired by ista in November 2008
  contributes its real-time electronic transaction management/electronic data interchange (EDI) systems and regulatory expertise for clients including power and natural gas retailers and wholesalers. EC Power hosts applications that range from assisting customers to manage energy efficiency and demand response programs to scheduling and settling wholesale electricity over the grid.
• ista’s Privatised Housing Group
  contributes an established US-wide technical field organisation known for its unsurpassed metering, submetering and meter technology expertise for multi-unit housing clients including the US Department of Defense (DoD). The Privatised Housing Group also provides billing, data management, and conservation services

The new E:SO division will focus on empowering major players in the energy supply chain - multi-site commercial, industrial and residential consumers, utility suppliers, generators and distributors - with superior energy cost management capabilities via the industry's most advanced billing, Customer Information Systems (CIS), meter and data transaction management and reporting systems.
